Surrendering All

By-Crickettt

"Prophesy to my people and tell them the time draws near and I will deliver them from the bondage that has held them back from all that I have for them.  I will come and make my abode with them if they will surrender all.  I will not be mocked, for in due season you will reap whatever you sow."

The above was given to me recently in my journal.  God is speaking to His people; those who desire to follow after Him and in His ways.  He says, "My sheep hear my voice and they will not follow the voice of a stranger."  He wants so much for us to not be burdened down by the things of this world but, to come and spend time with Him and in His Word.  In all the chaos happening around us, God wants us to know that He is still in control and very capable of taking care of us if we will just give it All to Him and allow His Holy Spirit to work in our lives.  Every seed you sow (with words, actions, giving, etc), whether good or bad, will come back to you and either bring you blessings or curse you.  It was never God's will for us to not receive blessings.  Our sins and disregard towards His Word does just that.  All He asks of us is Obedience, Faith, Surrender and Belief.  The Bible also teaches, you get whatsoever you truly believe for.  This is found in Mark 11:24.

Here are just a few of many verses in the Bible that teach on God's Blessings when we surrender to Him: (NIV) Proverbs 1:3--But whoever listens to me will live securely and be free from danger.

Proverbs 2:7-8--He stores up success for the upright; He is a shield for those who live with integrity so that He may guard the paths of justice and protect the way of His loyal followers.

Proverbs 3:3-4--Never let faithfulness and loyalty leave you.  Then you will find favor and high regard with God and man.

Proverbs 3:9--(Regarding Tithing) Honor the Lord with your possessions and with the first fruits of produce of your entire harvest.  Then, your barns will be completely filled, and your vats will overflow with new wine.

This scripture is talking about surrendering a 10th of your gross income and giving it back to God, (He originally allowed you to have it in the first place) and in obedience to Him, He would make sure that all your needs are met.

Proverbs 3:33-34--The curse of the Lord is in and on the house of the wicked, but He declares blessed is the home of the just and righteous.  The Lord mocks the mockers but is gracious to the humble.

Proverbs 4:23--Guard your heart above all else for it is the source of life.

Proverbs 5:21--For a man's ways are before the Lord's eyes and He considers all his paths. (Since God is always watching us, we should always be careful what we say, do and how we think.)  The Bible also says, "where your heart is, there will your treasure be also".

Sowing good seeds and trusting God for the harvest takes a lot of surrendering especially when it is hard to make ends meet during difficult times.  Sowing your seeds of Faith is a command from God because He says, without Faith it is impossible to please God.  God's Word shall sustain you and bring you out of every trial and into great joy.  For God is faithful that He will not let His Word return unto Him void.  It will go forth and perform what He has sent it to do. Be encouraged of this knowledge today.  Know that He truly wants you to be able to step out, walk in His Word and watch as He blesses your life with good things.  There is a verse I love that says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path."

God is good and it is His will to bless all those who believe, trust and surrender their all to him as their Lord and Savior.  He has made it so easy for us to follow after Him.  I pray that you will surrender everything over to Him today and know that He is big enough to take care of it all.

I leave you with another favorite verse:

Psalm 27:13-14--I am confident I will see the Lord's goodness while I am here in the land of the living.  Wait patiently for the Lord.  Be brave and courageous.  Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.
