The Time is Now

The Time is Now

By-Crickettt

Psalm 32:6 (TLB)-Now I say that each believer should confess his sins to God when he is aware of them, while there is still time to be forgiven.  Judgment will not touch him if he does.

Joel 2:12-13 (TLB)-That is why the Lord says, "Turn to me now, while there is still time.  Give me all your hearts.  Come with fasting, weeping, mourning.  Let your remorse tear at your hearts and not your garments.  "Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful.  He is

The Story of the Sparrow

The Story of the Sparrow

By-Crickettt

I followed you along the road

The path was long and narrow

And as we walked that weary mile

I focused on a sparrow.

Tell me the story Dear Lord, I said

About this marvelous bird

For I have read it quite often

While studying in your word.

Come here my child, sit down beside me

And listen to what I say

For you see, that little sparrow

Will never lose his way.

He doesn't have to worry

Of where he'll make his home

Yes, he is taken care of

No matter where he roams.

His body's

Matthew 11:28-30-Come unto me, all you that are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly of heart: and you shall find rest for your souls. For, my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

The Empty Tomb

 John 20:1-18

1/ Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.  2/ So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don't know where they have put him!"3/ So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb.  4/ Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reac

Tearing Down the Walls

Tearing Down the Walls

By-Crickettt

In the book of Joshua chapter 6, a great story unfolds concerning the children of Israel outside the city of Jericho.  Surrounding the city was a great wall which kept the children of God from entering their promised land.  However, the Lord told Joshua and his army to march around the city once each day for six days and on the seventh day they must march seven times around blowing their trumpets and shouting.  They obeyed God and the wall of Jericho fell flat

Surrendering All

Surrendering All

By-Crickettt

"Prophesy to my people and tell them the time draws near and I will deliver them from the bondage that has held them back from all that I have for them.  I will come and make my abode with them if they will surrender all.  I will not be mocked, for in due season you will reap whatever you sow."

The above was given to me recently in my journal.  God is speaking to His people; those who desire to follow after Him and in His ways.  He says, "My sheep hear my voice and t

Still in the Master's Plan

Still in the Master's Plan

By-Crickettt

So many trials along life's narrow way

Times when I found it hard to face another day

Emptiness and pain that I could not understand

Not knowing I was still in the Master's plan.

Re-living the past with each new passing day

My heart soon sank and fell within life's weary way

Oppressed and discouraged I called out His name

Not knowing if my life would ever be the same.

Oh, my Lord, how great you've been to me

A soul once living in darkness now has been set free

Step by step, I follow where you lead.

Each day is a monumental blessing.

How do I behold your face Oh, Lord?

What can I offer you for the Grace I've received?

If I could but look upon your Holy Face.

To stand beside you and physically hold your hand.

You have been with me through all these passing years.

My heart has failed me at times, but you are faithful.

I will offer you my praise and my worship.

But You deserve so much more Father.

Here I am, giving my all to you today.

Staying Focused on God in the Wilderness

Staying Focused on God in the Wilderness!

By-Crickettt

I Cor. 10:26-For the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof.

God is still in control no matter what may arise in your life.  He has the power to deliver you out of every circumstance.  For God is the creator of all things.  The Bible teaches us that, "There is nothing made that wasn't made by God" and "Greater is He (God) that is in you, than he (devil) that is in the world". Remember, God knew you even before you were conceived in you

 Ephesians 3:14-30

When I think of all this, I fall on my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.  I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.  Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust him.  Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong.  I pray that you may have power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long

Shepherd of My Heart

(Scriptures taken from the Living Bible and King James)

Psalm 34:18,19-The Lord is close to those whose hearts are breaking; He rescues those who are humbly sorry for their sins. The good man does not escape all troubles-he has them too. But the Lord helps him in each and every one.

Psalm 139:1,16,23-24-O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Search me,

She Stands in Splendor

This is something I wrote years ago about a home I once lived across the street from.  I loved it so much. It remained empty for many years.  It was a beautiful, huge, old, white Victorian home with a wrap around porch and sat on several acres.  The story behind the house dated it back to the Civil War days and was used by soldiers.  It looked like a post card especially with each new change of season.  One day, as a blanket of snow covered the ground and the earth seemed so silent, I sat and w

Seeing is Believing?

"Seeing is Believing"?

James 1:6-8 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.  For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. (NKJV)

2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. (NKJV)

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (NKJV)

Remembering Jesus

While the trees are being trimmed in all their splendor, while songs from merry hearts are sounding all around; families are gathered together to share a special time of love and giving.  Christmas is a joyous time of the year filled with the spirit of peace, joy, laughter and fellowship.  What is this celebration really about?  And who are we honoring during the holiday season?  Among the shimmering glitter, tinsel and stockings, Santa and sleigh bells, lies a story more precious than gold.

Provision, Prayer and God's Word

Provision, Prayer and God's Word

By-Crickettt

You know, we all get into situations and tend to wonder and worry about what is going to happen next. God reminds us in His Word that we can find a place to rest and not worry if we will turn it over to Him. God is faithful and will not let us down.  No matter what the circumstance may be, if you will keep your eyes on Jesus, He will show you the way to have your needs met.  God said that He would be our provider for all things if we put Him first in

Promise of Peace

 Promise of Peace

By-Crickettt

II Thes. 3:16-Now may the Lord of Peace Himself grant you His Peace (the peace of His Kingdom) at all times and in all ways [under all circumstances and conditions, whatever comes].  The Lord [be] with you all. (Amplified Bible)

We go through hardships and ask, “Why me?”.  There is a never-ending search for answers, and it seems all we find is more confusion.  I discovered when my mother, father and brother died, that life is not always fair.  Everything is constant

Promise Keeper

Psalm 12:6 (Amp)-The words and promises of The Lord are pure words, like silver refined in an earthen furnace, purified seven times over.

2 Peter 3:9 (Amp)-The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people's conception of slowness, but He is long suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance.

What does it mean to keep a promise?  The dictionary

Picking Up the Pieces

Picking Up the Pieces!

By-Crickettt

One day I was walking through my kitchen carrying a glass jar.  I wasn't paying attention to the dog toys that lay there on the floor.  As my foot came down on top of the toy, I lost my balance and the jar quickly slid from my hands.  The jar crashed on the floor and pieces of glass went everywhere.  I had to sweep and vacuum up all the broken pieces from off the floor so, no one would step on them and get cut.  I hoped that I had cleaned up all the pieces and

Out of These Ashes, Beauty Will Rise

Isaiah 61:2-3- (Amplified Version)-To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord (the year of His favor) and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn.  To grant (consolation and joy) to those who mourn in Zion-to give them an ornament (garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment (expressive) of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit-that they may be called oaks of
