 I have been thinking alot about this time of year, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah celebrations and what they stand for - and my soul aches.  My soul aches for those hostages of Hamas, children and adults, stolen from their families and homes, unable to join in celebrations of tradition, heritage and feasts. I try to imagine what they are thinking, wherever their precious bodies sit or lie to rest (if they can rest at all).  I ponder the images flashing before their minds as they relive each horrifying moment of  capture, torture and separation from all that is familiar. I envision their families, all over the world, gathering, praying, hoping, fighting and crying together.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 tells us that:

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

a time to be born, and a time to die;

a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;

a time to kill, and a time to heal;

a time to break down, and a time to build up;
 a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
 a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
 a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
 a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.

I know these words are living words, and they speak truth, but if I am honest, I admit that they hurt.

Why do they hurt?

They hurt because it was never meant for the earth and her inhabitants to experience the discomforts, 'dis-ease', sorrow, pain, suffering and death that has overwhelmed creation.

In the beginning .. God.

When I think on God, I think upon Him as His person and character reveals Him to be.  I think upon His name, YHWH Elohim.  I contemplate His many attributes that all boil down to one,

LOVE

There should have never been a time to die, kill, break down, weep, mourn, lose, hate, and to war.  These are the results of rebellion against LOVE.

Love was the original purpose of all of creation. We failed.  Now we must hunker down in our self-made bunkers of greed and selfie-identified fallen fortresses.

But God...

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6

This is hope.

He is our Peace.

We can let His shoulders carry the sickness and dis-ease of war.

We were created in His image, therefore we can fight the darkness through His light in us.

We can and must stand for Israel.

Out of Israel came the Promise of the nations,

Yeshua Ha-Mashiach,

the Son who was GIVEN to us.

🇮🇱

Please listen to Michele and Albert with an open mind and wisdom from God.  Do not forget the great gift that the Jewish nation gave to the world.  Out of her came our King of all kings and LORD of all lords.

Fight for Israel and those who remain hostage to Hamas.

Pray for each precious soul, and for the nation of Israel as nations all over the world attempt to divide her.

As the Spirit of Truth spoke to my heart:

"The One who CUT a covenant with Israel, will NOT allow the powers of darkness to rend His garment of praise."

let this be a warning to all of us.
