Keep Your Dreams Alive!

Jeremiah 29-11(NIV)-"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Lamentations 3:25(NIV)-The LORD is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him;
Romans 5:5(NIV)-And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.
Romans 12:12(NIV)-Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Dreams are the hopes we hang onto while believing that our future will become exactly what we desire. Sometimes, those dreams and hopes become crushed either by others or obstacles along the way. It is God's desire for us to keep dreaming and keep believing and keep hoping. When we keep our dreams alive for our future, it makes us stronger, better focused goal setters, patient and accomplished hard workers. If no one kept dreaming and reaching, we would not achieve our goals or see the God given potentials that are embedded deep within each of us.
God desires us to seek Him first and His Word every day so that we will grow in every aspect of our lives. He has wonderful plans for each person but most of the time we do not even give Him the "time of day". He tells us to seek Him first and all these things will be added unto us...Because, when we seek God, we are recognizing how much we need His divine guidance and knowledge to make the right decisions for our lives. God has placed those dreams within us, and He has purposed those dreams from the very beginning. When we keep our dreams alive, God is taking that step with us moment by moment. Our desires may come quickly, or we may have to walk in patience while getting to that place we want to be. Either way, He wants to be in control, and He wants us to trust Him to know what is best for us and when it should come to pass in our life.
Often, we try to speed things up by trying to make it happen the way we think it should...when we do that, everything begins to fall apart because we took it out of God's control and decided to do it ourselves. He will allow the confusion in our lives to teach us valuable lessons about being patient and trusting His timing. When we try to force our own dreams and plans, there is usually chaos and disappointment. Along with the disappointment comes the idea of failure and giving up. That is opposite from what God has originally planned. We are not failures and He never intended for us to ever give up on our Hopes and Dreams. We remain alive on the inside when we keep those dreams alive and press forward. Great joy comes from our struggles and hard work. It may seem like it will never happen or that it's taking way too long but, if we do not give in to the mentality of failure or hopelessness, we will see those perfect plans that God has intended unfold before our very eyes. The Bible teaches that tears and sorrow may last through the night, but joy comes in the morning.
If you are unsure what His plan is for you, ask Him to reveal it to you and at the same time, continue reading your Bible and develop a real relationship with Him. He is your Father and wants to commune with you too. Ask for wisdom and understanding as you pray and wait on Him to move in your life. His ways are not our ways therefore, what we think should happen is not necessarily the way it will be. Just believe and trust! Have faith and know that God is taking care of everything. He is teaching you patience and endurance while you are waiting. It definitely is not easy, and you'll always want to speed things along. His timing is Perfect...you may not always understand what's happening but, you can place it in His hands. The Bible also teaches that all good things come to those who wait upon the Lord. Galatians 6:9(NIV)-Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
