Dear Friends,
Our 4th year hosting 40 Days of Prayer & Fasting with Michele Bachmann is coming soon!!!. We will be meeting daily … 7 days a week … from 10:00 – 10:30 am ET, September 3, 2024 through October 12, 2024. Worship music will begin 10 minutes in advance while participants join the Zoom and have a chance to chat with and greet each other using the Chat feature.
We are working on the Zoom link which will provide the opportunity for even more people to participate than in years past. The link will be sent once the details are in place. I wanted to contact you now to let you are on our mailing list. We are excited to be with our friends again from previous years and make new friends this year while we join together to pray for our nation, the nation of Israel, and beyond.
If you know of others who would be interested, please have them email me at pray@regent.edu so they can be added to the mailing list and receive these emails going forward.
We are also creating a webpage where each day’s teaching will be posted in case you cannot attend, want to share with others, or simply want to watch the replays. The webpage will also have all of our resources … the book Dean Bachmann will be using for her teachings, all of the songs we will be using for worship, and more.
For now, if you would like to order the book to follow along each day, Dean Bachmann will be using 40 Days of Teshuvah to Yom Kippur: Messianic Devotional Series by Rabbin Deborah Brandt. We are also following a beautiful calendar showing Jewish holidays, dates, etc. It is The Jewish Art Calendar by Mickie 2025. Both are available on Amazon. Both are optional!
There is tremendous power in fasting, and we will fast as the Lord leads. Please know this is optional. Fasting can take many forms so if you choose to participate, please fast as the Lord directs and in a manner that works for you. You may choose to pick one type of food such as meat, fast food, sweets, sodas, coffee, etc. to give up for the 40 days. For health reasons, you may choose to fast from video games, television, etc. instead of food. Please do what is best for you.
And for your calendar … mark your calendar for Friday, September 27, 2024 when we will host our 40 Days of Prayer Reunion on the beautiful campus of Regent University!!!! We will host a full day of worship, prayer, fellowship, etc. Typically the event runs from about 9:00 am – 5:00 pm ET. We will plan the event and provide food and refreshments. Attendees will be responsible for travel and lodging expenses. More details to come but for now, mark your calendars and plan to attend.
